Built around the way you live
Part-setting can make a big difference to how useful a home alarm is. For example, you may want to protect downstairs while you're in bed without setting the alarm across the whole house.
The same applies when other people need access while you're out, such as family members, cleaners or dog walkers. These are things worth discussing before the system is specified so the alarm works around the way the household actually operates.
Pets are another important consideration. Detection can be specified with pets in mind, so tell us about any cats or dogs that move around the property before we design the system.
Bells-only, monitored, or straight to your phone
A bells-only alarm sounds locally when it activates. A monitored alarm can send an activation to an alarm receiving centre, which can then follow the agreed response procedure.
Depending on the system and requirements, that may involve contacting nominated keyholders or, where the appropriate requirements are met, police response.
Some home alarm systems can also provide notifications to your phone.
There are differences in cost, setup and ongoing commitment between the options. We'll explain what's available and what each option actually gives you, rather than simply pushing you towards the most expensive system.
Things worth mentioning when you call
- Roughly how many entrances and downstairs rooms the property has
- Whether you have pets that move around the house
- Whether there's an existing alarm system and what condition it's in
- Whether anyone regularly comes in while you're out, such as family, cleaners or dog walkers
- Whether you are interested in a bells-only or monitored system
- Whether you want different parts of the house to be protected independently
Home alarm installation from survey to setup
We start by looking at the property and talking through what you want from the alarm.
From there, Archer specifies the system and provides a bespoke quotation based on the property and your requirements.
If you decide to proceed, we supply and professionally install the system we've specified.
Archer doesn't operate as a labour-only installer for alarm equipment bought elsewhere.
The initial survey is free and there's no obligation to proceed.
Home alarm installers across Telford and Shropshire
Archer Security installs and services home alarm systems across Telford, Shrewsbury and the wider Shropshire area, as well as Stafford and Wolverhampton.
We're based in Telford and work with homeowners throughout the surrounding area.
Already have an alarm system?
You don't necessarily need a completely new installation to speak to Archer.
We also service and maintain suitable existing alarm systems, including systems originally installed by another company.
We'll need to assess the existing system first so we can understand its condition and whether it's suitable to take on.
