The failure you don't notice
A security system can look normal while something behind the scenes isn't working as it should.
A camera may not be recording correctly. Storage can develop a fault. Alarm components and batteries can deteriorate over time.
These are the kinds of issues that servicing is intended to identify before they become a bigger problem.
The aim is simple: when you need the system, it should still be doing the job it was installed to do.
We can service suitable systems installed by other companies
You don't have to be an existing Archer installation customer to ask us about servicing.
We can take on suitable security systems originally installed by another company, subject to inspecting what's already there.
We'll assess the condition of the system first and be straightforward about whether it's sensible to continue maintaining it.
If equipment is reaching the end of its useful life or is no longer practical to support, we'd rather explain that clearly than recommend spending money maintaining something that is unlikely to remain reliable.
CCTV maintenance, servicing and repairs
CCTV servicing is about checking that the system is still operating as intended and identifying issues before footage is needed.
That can include checking the cameras, recording equipment and other relevant parts of the system, depending on what is installed.
If a CCTV system has developed a fault, Archer can assess the problem and advise whether a repair is appropriate or whether replacement should be considered.
Intruder alarm maintenance and servicing
Intruder alarm systems also need ongoing attention to make sure the equipment remains in suitable working condition.
Servicing can identify deterioration or faults within the alarm system and gives Archer an opportunity to assess equipment before problems become more disruptive.
If an existing alarm has developed a fault, we can inspect the system and advise on the appropriate next step.
Security system repairs
If something has stopped working properly, servicing may also identify whether a repair is practical.
Archer can assess suitable CCTV, alarm and other electronic security systems and explain whether repairing the existing equipment is sensible.
If the system is too old, badly deteriorated or no longer practical to support, we'll explain the alternatives rather than automatically recommending further repair work.
Security system servicing for homes and businesses
Archer provides servicing for both Residential and Commercial security systems.
For homeowners, that might mean maintaining an existing CCTV or alarm system, dealing with a fault or taking over a system installed by somebody else.
For businesses, servicing can form part of keeping CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and other electronic security systems operating properly over time.
