WiFi problems aren't always caused by the broadband connection itself.
The size and layout of a property, construction of walls, position of the router and distance between the network and the devices using it can all affect where a wireless connection reaches.
That's why Archer starts by looking at the property rather than simply recommending another piece of wireless equipment.
We can establish where coverage is needed, look at the existing network and plan suitable locations for wireless access points and the cabling required to connect them.
WiFi installation for your home
WiFi is now relied on throughout the home, but a single router isn't necessarily in the right position to provide a reliable connection everywhere you need it.
Archer can install network infrastructure and wireless access points around the property to improve coverage in suitable areas.
That can be particularly useful in larger or older houses, or where the router is some distance from the rooms where the connection is actually being used.
Depending on the property and requirement, this can include WiFi coverage for areas such as home offices, studies and other parts of the house where the existing wireless connection struggles.
Where a hardwired connection is more appropriate than WiFi, Archer can also install network points and data cabling.

Commercial WiFi needs to work around the way the premises are actually used.

Depending on the requirement, an installation can include suitable routers, switches, wireless access points and the structured cabling connecting them.
We survey the premises first so access-point locations and the physical infrastructure can be planned around the building rather than equipment simply being added wherever there happens to be a convenient socket.
The cabling behind good WiFi
Wireless access points still need a network behind them.
Where appropriate, Archer installs the physical data cabling required to position access points where they're actually useful rather than restricting their location to wherever the router happens to be.

Ubiquiti WiFi systems
Archer specialises in Ubiquiti products for network and WiFi installations.
Depending on the property and requirement, Ubiquiti equipment can form part of the installation using suitable wireless access points, switches and routers.
The equipment itself is only part of the solution. Its positioning and the wired infrastructure connecting it also need to be considered if the finished network is going to work effectively around the property.
Improving an existing WiFi network
You don't necessarily need to replace everything just because your existing WiFi isn't reaching where you need it.
Archer can look at the network and infrastructure already in place before recommending what needs changing.
Depending on the issue, that might mean adding suitably positioned access points, extending the wired network or upgrading suitable parts of the existing infrastructure.
